Our  Artist Of The Month is SKAN THE ROOM.

Out of Northwest Indiana comes Skan The Room, with a twist on alternative rock. The Solo Project work was founded by Jacob Casler in 2014, where he began writing original songs in junior high school, acquiring skills as a vocalist, drummer, bassist, lead and rhythm guitarist, with orchestral interests.

Flash forward to 2017, Jacob sought out serious local artists to form and complete the band Skan The Room. December of 2017, he released an original, two track EP “The Longest Road,” featuring “The Longest Road and “A Very Important Person.” Along with an art and passion for various covers in a variety of genres, “The Longest Road” and “A Very Important Person” is aired on multiples of FM, satellite and internet radio stations across the U.S.

Currently, SKAN THE ROOM is in the process of completing their first, four track EP, “The Longest Road,” hailing original tracks and solo acoustic versions. The Longest Road EP is mixed, mastered and produced by Jonathan Hanlon, Edward Larson and Jacob Casler.

Influences and covers include, Dropkick Murphys, NOFX, Green Day, Eric Clapton, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Kickin Valentina, Ozzy, Tom Petty, Blink 182, The Foo Fighters, The Thermals, Eddy and the Arsons, The Rumjacks, Misfits, DED, 9 Electric, Gemini Syndrome, A Breach of Silence, Pearl Jam, The Offspring, Butthole Surfers, The Dead Milkmen, Gifted but Twisted and more.

In spring of 2018, Skan The Room will perform all originals and a variety of cover songs at small festivals and all ages shows, making their way throughout Northwest Indiana and Chicago surrounding area venues.
